Who am I?

My name is Brooke Williams, and I’m a professional reference librarian with over a decade of experience based in Boston, Massachusetts.

In my day job, I work extensively with scholars at all phases of the research process, from initial information gathering to preparing for publication. I also offer training and consultations on citation managers.

As a proofreader, I’ve worked on academic articles, book chapters, monographs, and dissertations. I enjoy catching typos, correcting errors, and identifying places where prose could be tightened or clarified. I’m always willing to be as picky as you want me to be!

Testimonial

Brooke was an enormous help in a high-pressure situation for our journal. She was able to hit the ground running, adapt to the nuances of our style guide at light speed, and provided insightful and thoughtful suggestions for copy rewording that made the articles better. She delivered articles in a timely manner and showed great efficiency. I would be delighted to have her work with us again at any time.
